  1. Place ingredients in bread pan according to manufacturers directions and press “Dough” cycle.
  2. When machine beeps, remove dough to lightly floured countertop and with a rolling pin, roll dough out to ¼” thickness.
  3. Using a dog bone cookie cutter (or any small seasonal cookie cutters), cut out dog biscuits and place on a lightly greased cookie sheet or one sprinkled with cornmeal.
  4. Reroll scraps and repeat till all dough is used up. Place in a warm location and let rise 30 minutes.
  5. Bake at 325F/170C for 30 minutes until brown and no longer soft. Place on a rack to cool. Store in an airtight container.

You can bash them up and use as ideal dog training treats as well…

Natural pet food

Dog Treats April 4th, 2007

natural dog food

Yorkshire terrier Pebbles is treated for kidney failure
after eating dog food that was later recalled.
The 7-year-old dog has died already…

The reason why natural pet food is so important for your dog is illustrated by Pebbles: the above cute Yorkshire terrier killed by eating… pet food from the pet shop!

Pebbles became ill with kidney failure after being fed Nutro pet food : a Menu Foods manufactured product. The toxin aminopterin, used to kill rats, was found in the wet pet food. Nobody knows how the poison got there.

So before you go to the shop thinking you will be safe buying healthy pet food, think again! better make your own dog treats if your health of your dog is as important as your own health. After all: do you eat every day food out of a can???
